 Full House producer Pyo Min Soo delivers another lighthearted romance with What Planet Are You From? (a.k.a. What's Your Star and Which Star Are You From?). Seung-hee has a difficult and lonely childhood, but he was a well-known director. One day, together with his girlfriend, Hye-soo get into a car accident. Hye-soo dies and Seung-hee suffers from the death of his one true love. Three years later, he meets Kim Bok-shil (Jung Ryu-won) who looks exactly like his girlfriend.
Bok-shil has lived all her life in a tiny remote village. She works hard to make a living and take care of her mother. Unlike Hye-soo, who was intelligent, beautiful, sweet and elegant. Bok-shil is uneducated, somewhat rude and far from elegant, Bok-shil dreams of leaving the small village that won't get her anywhere in life. She meets Seung-hee and feelings unfold. What Planet Are You From?, also known as What Star Are You From?, is a Korean television drama (K-drama) produced by the South Korean television network MBC. It first aired in Korea during the first half of 2006. It is an uplifting tale about two people in love, who find themselves in an-almost tragic and very conflicted relationship. The general premise deviates from the common K-drama baseline and focuses on a couple different aspects beyond a love triangle. It is the character conflict, past relationships, and family problems at the height of the drama. Overall, What Planet Are You From? is a fun and enjoyable drama that is also sweet, passionate, loveable, and doesn't go over-the-top with drama.
