This drama is adapted from Hans Christian Andersen's The Snow Queen and also pays tribute to Korea's lengendary boxer, Kim Deuk Gu.
A boxer who was previously a genius, and a rich girl who has a serious illness. Despite appearing not to have any connection, they are similar. Nothing can melt their heart of ice. Where is the sunlight that can melt their frozen heart? If the answer is love, is it too cliche?
Tae Woong's love (Hyun Bin) melted the heart of the ice princess, Bo Ra (Sung Yu Ri). Although this winter will be very cold and scary, winter is not the end of the seasons, but the beginning of the hope for a greater love.
From the producer of Winter Sonata comes The Snow Queen, a romantic drama starring Hyun Bin of My Lovely Sam-Soon. Inspired by a Hans Christian Andersen story, The Snow Queen breaks the ice with a moody, modern-day fairy tale about pure love and undying friendship. Third-rate boxer Tae Woong (Hyun Bin) is a listless loner, desperately trying to make ends meet. He was once a teenage prodigy with the world at his feet, but he gave everything up after his best friend's death, a tragedy he blames on himself. Living for eight years in the shadow of his guilt, he starts to open up again when he meets Bo Ra (Sung Yu Ri, A Prince's First Love, One Fine Day), a spoiled young woman with a heart as cold as his. But to melt his ice princess, Tae Woong must first come to terms with his own past.
This edition comes with 61 minutes of English-subtitled special features (Behind the Scenes, Highlights, Music Videos).
