Love of Siam

This has been to date a very difficult movie to source with English subtitles.
Only the Director's cut 3 disc set has been available from Hong Kong for $55. So, $22 is a much more sensible price.
This is a great movie starring Mario Maurer, a former model as Tong and Witwisit Hiranyawongkul as Mew.
In every way, this movie is world class, and is about 2 young boys who are best friends, but are separated when Tong's family moves to Chiang Mai, when his sister goes missing in the jungle.
They meet up again when in their mid teens, and find they are attracted to each other.
That is short lived though, as Tong's mother intervenes and causes great suffering to Mew and to a lesser degree her own son.
Buy this movie, - you will be so pleased you did.
