A Moment of Romance
This thriller stars Hong Kong actor Andy Lau as Wah, the getaway driver in a robbery attempt. When the heist goes bad, the gang takes a girl named Jojo (Wu Chien Lien) for their hostage. After they finally evade capture, the gang plans to kill her.
Only Wah is against this plan and escapes with Jojo. The two go on the run from the criminals as well as the cops and realize that their only remaining option is to fight back against their pursuers. Although another film was marketed as Moment of Romance 2, and also stars Wu Chien Lien, it is not an actual sequel to this film.
A Moment Of Romance II
Wu Chien-Lien returns to the damsel in distress role in this thematic sequel to the 1992 breakthrough film, this time with a new lead star.
Celia (Wu Chien Lien) is an immigrant from China who was forced into prostitution in an attempt to help her brother (Cheung Tat Ming) out of prison. She is constantly abused by the gang she works for.
When she witnesses the gang boss (William Ho) being killed off first by a fellow hooker, then an ambitious gangster who wants the position, she escapes. When the gang goes after Celia, she is rescued by Frank (Aaron Kwok), a young street racer who loves enjoying his sport.
