Kiu Fa Chee (Chan Wai Shan, Flora) is an illegitimate Child. Her biological father dies and leaves her a big portion of shares in his seafood restaurant. It is her father's last wish that she could get on well with her half-brother, Kwong Sheung Yo (Raymond Lam), and that together they could revitalize the restaurant. For promoting Yo's cooking skill, she invites the well-known Ma Yau (Ng Kai Wah, Lawrence) to be the chef of the restauratn, believign that Yo can then learn from Yau. With the passing of the days, a sincere relationship stars to build up between Yo and Chee.
Yau has been suffering from the left of her girlfriend, So Mei (Tang Lai Ming, Joyce), till he starts another spring with Chee. Nevertheless, Yau realizes that Mei is the girlfriend of Lung Chi Sing (Ma Tak Chung, Joe), his long time business competitor. Yau is in a real quandary about which woman to choose....
After her father's passing, kindergarten teacher Fa Ji (Flora Chan) receives partial ownership of his seafood restaurant on Lamma Island. Neither her half-brother (Raymond Lam) nor stepmother (Shut Lei) know of her existence, and unsure how to face them, Fa Ji pretends to be their debtor. Their restaurant was once the best of Lamma, but has slipped greatly in the hands of laidback, aimless son Seung Yau. To save the restaurant and motivate Seung Yau, Fa Ji hires bad-tempered master chef Ma Yau (Lawrence Ng), who is hiding on Lamma for reasons of his own.
The restaurant also becomes the refuge for bumbling aspiring singer Candy (Miriam Yeung). Amidst clattering dishes and constant bickering, close bonds develop as Seung Yau grows as a cook and Fa Chi slowly reaches through to Ma Yau's heart. But can this haven hold when Ma Yau's rival (Joe Ma) and ex-girlfriend (Joyce Tang) make their way to Lamma, and Fa Chi's real identity is revealed?
