The movie "100 Days with Mr. Arrogant" is based on an Internet novel which posted on internet portal site Daum bulletin board for 2 months in the summer of 2001. It was a dating report written up by a high school senior (a girl) and at the time, the story gained such popularity that on an average day, 110,000~120,000 readers logged on to read her story.



High school years... they are about innocence and dreams! Ha-young is a high school senior full of life and happiness! However, soon her dream of meeting her prince charming and her bubbly cheerfulness crash into the darkness of slavery...

High school slavery?? How shocking is it to have such outrageous setting for a movie? This movie challenges our conservative Korean society with a daring subject of high school slavery. However, it is not only the subject that is shocking. The humorous storyline and the comic qualities of each character are more shocking and extremely amusing. Ha-young breaks the preconceived idea about slavery in "100 Days with Mr. Arrogant" and brings out laughter through crazy and extraordinary happenings. Finally, the curtain rises for the 100 day battle between high school slave girl and her arrogant master!



HA Ji-won is the beloved heroine of TV mini series "Damo", biggest hit film "Phone", "Sex is Zero", which stirred up a tremendous sensation in Korean society. Everyone was curious of what her next project will be after such successful TV drama and Films. Although it is a dangerous challenge that might jeopardize one's acting ability if the performance isn't convincing, she proudly picked up high school uniform and chose to become Ha-young in "100 Days with Mr. Arrogant" as her challenge of acting career.

KIM Jae-won rose into stardom when he appeared in TV drama "Romance". KIM is famous for his sweetest iller smile that melts your heart away. Not only that, he has soft milky white skin that even girls are envious of. With this film, he will take his first step in becoming a talented actor with diverse faces.



"100 Days with Mr. Arrogant" is a film made by the new generation of filmmakers. It is the directorial debut for the 27-year-old director SHIN Dong-yup, whose previous work as a writer includes "Ditto"(original story writer). He has also worked with director JANG Jin and JEONG Cho-shin as their assistant director. Moreover, the original story of "100 Days with Mr. Arrogant" is a popular Internet novel which created enormous sensation among internet users.







Ha-young is a high school senior who has the utmost zeal and energy for everything she does, except for studying. She gets dumped by her boyfriend on their 100 day anniversary. And on her way home, she lets out her frustration on an empty can of coke by giving it a nice long kick. But the fate has its own plan. The flying can hits Hyung-joon on his head while driving his Lexus430 and crashes his car into the wall. Furious Hyung-joon demands Ha-young to pay for the damage of his car.. which is $3,000!!! Luckily, Ha-young manages to escape from the scene of the accident.



Ok, so she wasn't so lucky after all. She thought she successfully escaped the unfortunate accident scene, but little did she know, she dropped her wallet at the scene. When she gets home, she receives a phone call from Hyung-joon demanding money from her. When he shows up at her school, she agrees to pay for the damage by being his slave for 100 days and signs the ??Enslavement Agreement.?? Then the nightmare of slavery begins! Starting with cleaning his house, assisting him in while he shops, doing all the chores, cleaning his car and even writing his school reports!



Ha-young puts up with all the humiliations and hardships for the sake of $3,000 she owes Hyung-joon. However, one day, she discovers that a car bumper could be fixed with only 10 bucks! This is when Ha-young the poor little slave girl transforms herself into the goddess of revenge! She takes her revenge on Hyung-joon starting with his car. However, the joy of victory lasts only short time. Hyung-joon appears before her eyes at her very home as her new tutor! Then the new kind of slavery begins in a form of teacher vs. student...

With TV mini series "Damo", HA has become the most popular actress in Korea in all age groups. Now, we meet her again in her ambitious new film "100 Days with Mr. Arrogance"!

DIRECTOR



Since his graduation from Seoul Institute of the Arts with major in creative writing, he has actively been working as a screenwriter. He is the original story writer of "Ditto" and the screenwriter of "Baby Alone". He has also worked with director JANG Jin and JEONG Cho-shin as their assistant director. Unlike his screenplays' characteristics of quick wit and bursting sensibilities, he is quiet and reserved in person. Even though he was a debut director, the filming of "100 Days with Mr. Arrogant" was done with utmost efficiency without any troubles due to his organized and calm directions. SHIN is definitely one the most promising director of 2004.
