The Royal Mountain Hotel is an achievement director Cui has struggled for all his life. After his abrupt death, he leaves behind the poor remains of the earlier flourishing business to his wife Yin Shuzhen. In order to restore the hotel with its old splendor she sends hotel manager Xu Zhenyin to the US to persuade the former head manager of the hotel Han Taijun to return to his post.
Just at that moment, Cui's lifelong competitor Jin Fuwan appears on the scene intending to get his hands on the hotel and for this purpose, especially recruits Shen Dongxian a professional in property acquisition. Jin really appreciates the talents of Dong and even wants him to become his son-in-law. However, Jin's only daughter Yunxi is deeply drawn to Han Taijun who rescued her from a hopeless situation before. Shen Dongxian on the other hand falls in love with Xu Zhenyin at first sight. Jin Young (Song Yun Ah), a very open-minded and energetic woman, works for Seoul Hotel. Her ex-boyfriend Tae Joon (Kim Seung Woo) left his work at the hotel three years earlier due to an unfortunate incident w/ a guest. He is now living in Las Vegas. But the owner of the hotel has always loved and respected Tae Joon even more so than his own son, Young Jae (Park Jung Chul). When the owner dies of a heart attack, his wife realizes that Jin Young must go to Vegas to bring back Tae Joon, so he can run the hotel, which is falling into pieces. Another high-class business man (Han Jin Hee), is determined to bring down Seoul Hotel. He has a daughter, Yoon Hee (Song Hae Gyo), who grew up like a puppet doll and hates every minute of it. He decides he needs someone determined to bring down Seoul Hotel so he finds Dong Hyuk (Bae Yong Joon), who's also living in Las Vegas and has an MBA degree and is all about work and no love. When Jin Young goes to Las Vegas to look for Tae Joon, Dong Hyuk meets her for the first time. Eventually, they are all brought back to Korea and Dong Hyuk experiences love for the first time in his life while he is trying to get set up with Yoon Hee. Jin Young and Tae Joon's relationship is not as solid as it was three years ago and Jin Young is caught between two men. What will be sacrificed in this duel between two businesses? Love or work?

Shin Dong-Hyuk (Bae Yong-Joon)
Shin Dong-Hyuk (Bae Yong-Joon) is a mergers and acquisitions expert in the hotel industry. He is in his early thirties. On the outside he seems to be a strict and practical businessman, but on the inside he fights to hide his loneliness. He tries to get information about the Seoul Hotel by pretending to be one of its guests. However, his attitude abruptly changes after he falls for Jin-Young who works for the Seoul Hotel.
Seo Jin-Young (Song Yoon-A)
Seo Jin-Young (Song Yoon-A) is the customer service manager of the Seoul Hotel in her mid-twenties. She often gets herself involved in unpredictable situations between the guests and other members of the hotel staff. She tends to be too emotional in love affairs. Jin-Young is the one who goes to Las Vegas to find Tai-Jun in order to save the hotel. However, Dong-Hyuk saves her from trouble when she is left alone in the desert. The two meet again later in the Seoul Hotel, which stirs up a romantic triangle.
Han Tai-Jun (Kim Seung-Woo)
Han Tai-Jun (Kim Seung-Woo) is the vice executive manager of the Seoul Hotel in his early thirties. He always stands on the side of justice. Due to a notorious scandal, he decides to leave the hotel and goes to Las Vegas. But when he hears that no one is able to take care of the hotel after the sudden death of Chairman Choi, he comes back and accepts the role of General Manager. He considers Jin-Young to be more than just a good friend and is hurt to see her falling for Dong-Hyuk.
Kim Yun-Hee (Song Hye-Kyo)
Kim Yun-Hee (Song Hye-Kyo) is a college student in her early twenties. She is the only daughter of Enterpriser Kim, who plans to take possession of the Seoul Hotel. She comes from a wealthy background, but learns firsthand about the heartaches and difficulties of life after she falls in love. Her father wants her to marry Dong-Hyuk, but she is in love with Tai-Jun. Sadly, Tai-Jun is not interested in someone so young. | |
