Kasumi is shocked to discover that her older sister's fiancee is the man she first fell in love with five years ago in high school. At the time, he was her high school teacher and ultimately quit his job racked with guilt over their relationship. Kasumi was deeply hurt and struggled for a long time to overcome her sadness. Now the two of them must come to terms with their secret past before the ones they care about in the present are hurt.
Fukada Kyoko plays a girl telling a story of her middle school crush: her teacher. He kinda falls for her too, and one day after school in the classroom, they kiss. Some girl watches them, but I think she had a crush on the teacher too. She goes to the locker room, pops a bunch of pills and collapses. After this, the teacher resigns and leaves town. Fukada runs after him at the train yelling,"WHY? WHY? WHY?" and he barely looks at her as the train pulls off. Five years later, she's about 20 and works for a wedding planning business.
This story is about a love triangle between two sisters and a school teacher. Kasumi's first love, Nao is a tall good looking popular teacher, teaches Classical Literature. A summer day, they kiss each other. However, Nao resigned from her school and disappeared. Five years later, Kasumi and Nao meet again. Kasumi still has the same feelings for him, yet the circumstances are totally different now.

Atsuro Watabe as Nao Todo
-- is a popular teacher of Kasumi and Seiichi in high school. He quits teaching since he has special feelings for Kasumi, and becomes a counselor. He started dating one of his clients, Tomoko, and gets engaged; however, her sister is Kasumi whom he hasn't been able to forget.
Kyoko Fukada as Kasumi Ezawa
-- is one of Nao's students in high school. She still has feelings for Nao even 5 years after he suddently left school. She is now working at a wedding reception hotel. She meets Nao again, but as her sister's fiancee. She struggles with her feelings between Nao and her sister, Tomoko.
Emi Wakui as Tomoko Ezawa
-- is Kasumi's older sister and a very good friend. She is also a famous writer, Itsumo Tomoko. She gets engaged to Nao, her counselor. She has a traumatic past and has been searching for true love.
Hiroyuki Ikeuchi as Seiichi Kiba
-- is Kasumi's classmate. He is very smart and graduates from Tokyo University. He becomes a high school teacher at his alma mater due to the influence of his former teacher, Nao. He has had feelings for Kasumi since high school.
Atsumi Omori as Akari Ezawa
-- is the mother of Tomoko and Kasumi. She is very close to her daughters and is very understanding. Takehiko Ono as Mamoru Ezawa
-- is the father of Tomoko and Kasumi. He has just retired. His daughters' future is his biggest concern.
