Probably based on a Japanese manga series, the film charts the rites of passage, if you will, of one rich kid Edward (Stephen Fung) whose mother is a famous celebrity in Hong Kong. Edward is expelled from a Band One school after being framed for sexually assaulting a girl. Edward's mother orders her cronies to find another Band One school for Edward, but a misunderstanding causes Edward to enrol into a Band Five school - the lowest of the low.

The school houses delinquents, juveniles, misfits and what have yous under one roof. Soon, Edward gets bullied and coerced into fighting other school kids. Obviously he loses, and gets help from Stone (Nicholas Tse) and a girl who fancies him (Joey Yung). Stone was the ultimate king of duel in the school and never been defeated, but has vowed not to fight anymore. The current king of duel is Mantis, who wants to fight Stone. To force him to fight, Mantis gets his buddies to fight Edward instead. Stone helps Edward to train, while in return Edward helps Stone with his schoolwork. But things take a different turn as Edward gets kidnapped by a triad boss. Can Stone and Mantis put their differences aside and help rescue Edward?
