Then it is known that he is general Kim Jwa-Jin's son by Shin Ma-Jeok, leader of student gangster. By the way as Japanese Yakuja extends their power to Jong Ro, Kim Du-Han protects Korean shop owners in that area and obtains confidence from them.

At that time Kim Ki-Hwa, leader of Wu Mi Kwan region is caught and Kim Du-Han becomes a legitimate leader of Jong Ro gangster world.

After World War I, Japan set out to spread its influence over adjacent parts of Asia in whatever way it could. It conquered Manchuria and Korea and set up puppet governments throughout the entire region, including China.

Outwardly, young Doo-Han is the No 1 leader among the Korean gangs. But, there are some local old bosses who reject to follow Doo-Han. This is another matter to be solved.
After defeat, Hayashi has a good scolding from his master boss in Japan.

He looks out for a chance to counter attack Doo-Han with help of yakuza members from Japan. Kim Dong-Hui, a Korean member, is eating his heart out between his loyalty to his boss Hayashi and his national consciousness.
Doo-Han does his best to keep the Jong Ro district from the Japanese gang and the police.

In Manchuria, Doo-Han visits Ssang-Kal who is said to be the boss in Bong-Chon area. Ssang-Kal welcomes Doo-Han. One day Doo-Han meets with Dong-Hui who becomes a smuggler dealing in opium. Doo-Han, Dong-Hui and Ssang-Kal get in trouble with Chinese thieves, Ma-Chok-Dan.

Doo-Han comes back to Chongno secretly. He tries to recover Chongno from Hayashi. He defeats the traitors who used to be his followers and Uda, Hayashi’s brother-in-law. Later he delivers himself to the military police as he hears that Eun-Shil has been arrested because of her providing shelter to Doo-Han.
